Nora Fatehi summoned in Sukesh Chandrashekhar case

Bollywood star and dancer Nora Fatehi has been summoned by a Delhi court to appear before as the prosecution witness in the sensational Rs200 million extortion case in connection with the arrested conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

Rouse Avenue Court of Delhi has asked for her appearance in the court on November 2. Her name has been mentioned as witness LW-3 in the third supplementary chargesheet filed by EOW of Delhi Police.

The court case, which is high profile and has attracted media coverage, involves claims that Chandrashekhar blackmailed Aditi Singh – the wife of Shivinder Mohan Singh, the former promoter of Ranbaxy – for about Rs200 million (Dh9.5m) in 2020 and 2021.

Officials say he made the scheme while behind bars in Delhi’s Rohini Jail, posing as senior government officials and promising to help Singh’s husband get out.
