Lula wins historic fourth term in Brazil as Bolsonaro rejects result

Brazil's President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has been declared the winner of the presidential runoff, securing a historic fourth term in office.

His rival from the Bolsonaro camp rejected the result, setting up a challenge after one of the tightest runoffs in the country's recent history.

The vote was seen as a choice between keeping Brazil on a leftist course or shifting it to the right.
