Harry Kane wins Ballon d’Or, first Englishman in 25 years

Harry Kane has won the Ballon d'Or, becoming the first English player to take the award in 25 years after finishing ahead of Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal.

Kane scored 73 goals in 65 games for club and country last season. He called the award "beyond wildest dreams" but said he still has plenty to prove.

Alexia Putellas won the women's award for a third time, Luis de la Fuente was named men's coach of the year and PSG men's club of the year.
