India: Three Muslims sentenced to life imprisonment in Gujrat over cow slaughter

An Indian court in Gujarat has sentenced three Muslim men to life imprisonment in a cow slaughter case. The court also imposed a fine of 300,000 Indian rupees on each of the convicted men, according to the report.

The accused were identified as Wasim Qureshi, Mohammad Rafiq Qureshi and Ashfaq. Authorities reportedly recovered 277 kilograms of beef from them, which led to legal proceedings under the state’s laws concerning cow slaughter.
